When my friend Jenni gathers the ladies, it is always sure to be a blast. So when I got a text from her for a girls brunch date, I was super stoked.
I arrived to a smattering of amazing breakfast goodies, coffee and DIY’s to boot! I had been coveting her DIY gem stone beanie since she posted about it and much to my delight…it was the project du’jour!
Special thanks to Jenni and Carrie the gracious hosts! I have a feeling I will be wearing this beanie daily. For more info on how to DIY a beanie of your own, head to I SPY DIY…duh. Happy Holidays!
Pantone has finally dropped the ball on us for 2013. Get ready to be energized by EMERALD!
Here are some inspiring editorial images, products and my nails make a cameo too! I am ready for the year of emerald. Bring it Pantone.

Oh Angie. When I think of your name, I never associated it with my late Grandma, until I saw this recent picture of you. My Nana had a serious passion for floral prints and iron on decals as well. May I also ask why this flower strategically stretches itself out across your britney? I mean do you have something to hide!? I just hope it’s not scratch-n-sniff. (take a moment to visualize…)

It’s too bad really…without the night blooming jasmine across her vaj. This would have been a perfectly fine dress. Does your opinion differ? Take a second and let me know why…I love comments! Until next time, we will file this under Red Carpet Nay!
PS- these are reposted from an old blog of mine so yes, this image is a bit out of date…but it STILL happened!
This manicure pairs fun metallic gold with a chic neutral. A favorite combination of mine.
I used Orly in Pure Porcelain for the first 3 fingers. And Orly in Luxe for the last two. Also coated with Orly in Sashay My Way glitter with a tiny bit of Urban Outfitters fine gold glitter.
Final result looked sick paired with my Lionette ring!
I happen to have some of the most amazing friends – no seriously, you will find out quickly, each one is talented, amazing at their job and absolutely killing it in NYC. One of such friends is a Miss Rachelista! A Merchandise Manager at the great Birchbox. Lovely Rachelista was kind enough to invite me over to the Birchbox #SampleStop event across the street from Milk Studios.
1. Getting to build my own Birchbox!
2. CANDYYYYYY. Duh it was all pink. Mixed in with some of beauties finest!
3. This amazing ‘Milk Maid’ braid done by one of the stylist from Shu Uemura Art of Hair.
PS- I have a serious relationship with my purple hair. We have been committed for the past 3months and it is only getting more serious. I like to say “I’m about 80% of the way to Kay Perry.”
This was my pre Birchbox event hair!
A Spirit Animal is what I like to refer to as someone who embodies everything I want to be in life. I am starting this topic as a place to identify ladies I find in street style, editorial or otherwise who embody the style I want/have.
Miss Natalie Joos from Tales of Endearment – not only does she have an incredible blog but this street style pic of her from Fashion Wire Press left me with next-level outfit envy! No one loves a crop top with a full skirt more than I do. Lady-like yet edgy. The best of both worlds. Update, also found below image via The Cut street style.
PS- She’s also carrying the perfect Prada. #ladycrush
This mani was specifically done for the beginning of #NYFW! I used 4 different shades of purple and a baby pink with two types of glitter for ombre effects! This was a stunner! (NOTE – this was on Sept 3rd.)
TIP- keep your colors in the same family to help it stay cohesive and not get too out of control.
